Please visit my Digication site. It's moving right along. I'm just working on individual assignments at this point...

Long Live Digication!
I think my prayers have been answered in terms of setting up the Capstone course online.
Having met with the folks from digication, I think their product is precisely what I've been looking for...
Please take a look at what I've got so far...

Got my mind around...
I think I've got the most appropriate way to use this blog.
As a charter school, we often try things in less traditional ways than standard public schools. Being arts-driven and smaller in scale than most schools (Beacon's population will grow to approximately 170 next year), we are often able to adapt technology into courses.
In fact, as we designed our Performance-Based Graduation Requirements system, we considered technology essential.
In the first two years, the final product of the Capstone Project is a film, shot on DV cameras and edited on a nonlinear system. All of the preliminary work has been handwritten (at worst) or typed via a word processor (at best). I have had some preliminary discussions with folks at DigiCation (www.digication.com) about students creating their work for this course on that site.
This is what I wish to explore through EDC 921. I think I am even comfortable uploading their films for sharing with the group. Stay tuned...
